Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor on WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reports regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding these situations. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. O'Dell anchors the main newscast for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has covered such events including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of shows that were pre-showarrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
