In the spring of 2020, we will still be uneasy about the direction of the Rotary member-to-member connection. While the adage of 'hands in face space' will undoubtedly continue to be a component of our program, it's clear that trust is growing and connections between face-to-face are being made. Rotary has changed. In the months leading up to summer 2021, there is still uncertainty about the way we'll provide support to the community that includes the valued human connection that was enjoyed by Rotary previous members. It is not clear if the mantra "hands meet in front of each other" is expected to be part of the routine however, it is clear that there is a growing optimism and the need to be face-to-face with people. Rotary is changing. Rotary networks help to build long-lasting friendships. The outbreak has forced us to improve our technology techniques. Our business remains on the internet, while introducing a new volunteer and social activities. In order to create a new exciting future, we've taken the new possibilities and merged them with the most efficient pre-pandemic practices. A recent Rotary survey, it was encouraging to learn that about 75 percent of clubs are organizing their activities regular activities" The summer months saw many of our participants out and about focusing on projects such as beaches and rivers being cleaned, trash picking, and of course our ongoing support for the community from Rotary volunteers who volunteer their time to support COVID testing and vaccination centers.
